Good Morning Everyone!!!
I hope this email finds you all well and fully immersed in the holiday spirit!!! : ) I must say that November seems like an absolute blur. I’m not sure if we could have packed anything more in!!! Since our meeting in early November, the Libertarian Party of Greater Peoria has marched in both the Peoria Veteran’s Day & Bloomington Christmas Parade(s), had an op-ed (written by our Treasurer Joe Keel) published in the Peoria Journal Star, attended the first ever Tazewell County Libertarian meeting, and live streamed the first Libertarian Gubernatorial debate of the season. I must say that as 2017 comes to its conclusion, we should be so proud of all that we have accomplished. The Liberty Movement is alive and well in the Greater Peoria area and it is because of all of your tireless efforts!!! Liberty is beginning to play again in Peoria!!!
So with that said, I am pleased to announce that we will be holding our December Meeting @7:00PM this Thursday, December 14th, at W.E. Sullivan’s Irish Pub & Fare in Peoria Heights. We will be tackling some chapter business, having our first ever #LibertyTalk on why Taxation is Theft, and are honored to have a very special guest speaker- Brian Fengel. Brian is currently the Bartonville Chief of Police and is a candidate for Peoria County Sheriff. Although Brian is running as a Democrat, he has explained to me that he wants to be the Sheriff for ALL of the citizens of Peoria County. He is excited to speak to us about his campaign and his vision for the Sheriff’s office. Since we do not have a candidate in this race, this will be a great chance to get to know him, but also send him into the election with some of our values as well. Please check out the link below and let us know if you can make it. This truly is going to be an awesome event!!!
